Title: Digital Strategist, Commercial Partnerships

Reports to: VP, Digital Marketing & Strategy

Location: New York, NY (In-office, 5 days a week in office)

The Role:

Roc Nation is seeking a Digital Strategist to drive the digital future of our Commercial Partnerships division.

This position is responsible for supporting the Roc Nation artist roster, IP, and live event portfolio as the mastermind behind the digital brand presence, developing comprehensive, year-round campaigns, defining platform-specific strategies, and providing the direction that sets our brands apart. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of internet culture with rigorous data analytics to drive client-focused results.

You will collaborate closely with PR, brand and marketing agencies to identify and execute strategic collaborations, sitting at the intersection of music, culture, and brand marketing.

This role owns a portfolio of brand relationships and contributes directly to achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign & Brand Strategy: Builds and oversees year-round digital marketing campaigns for select brand deals and internal entities, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals

  • Platform Strategy: Determines the optimal channel mix (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other emerging platforms) for each brand, tailoring content strategies to maximize algorithmic reach and audience engagement

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Establishes KPIs, monitors digital performance, and translates complex data into actionable insights. Pivots strategies in real-time based on social listening and analytics

  • Creative Direction: Partners with creative teams to conceptualize high-impact visual and video assets, ensuring all digital creative aligns with the strategic vision and resonates with the target demographic

  • Client Management: Acts as a strategic liaison for brand partners, translating client objectives into digital realities and presenting strategies, pitch decks, and post-campaign reports with confidence

  • Audio & Music Strategy: Proactively identifies and curates viable Roc Nation music catalog tracks, as well as trending commercial sounds, to integrate into digital campaigns—driving platform engagement and capitalizing on music-driven cultural trends while ensuring licensing compliance

  • Usage Rights: Verifies rights clearances for audio and music usage in social posts, clears image rights, and ensures strict compliance with FTC disclosure guidelines for partnered/influencer content

  • Asset Management: Oversees the organization and maintenance of a centralized digital asset library, ensuring all creative files, photography, video deliverables, and finalized copy are properly archived, version-controlled, and easily accessible for rapid deployment across teams

Cross-Functional Synergy & Collaboration

  • Voice & Channel Operations: Works in lockstep with the executionary counterpart (the Voice / Channel Lead) to ensure macro-level strategies and campaigns are flawlessly executed at the micro-level on a daily basis

  • Sales & Commercial Partnerships: Acts as the digital anchor for the sales team, ensuring that brand deals, sponsorships, and commercial packages are activated effectively online and actively drive toward promised partnership KPIs

  • Creative Department: Partners closely with internal and external creative teams (designers, video editors, and production) to translate overarching strategic briefs into high-impact, platform-native visual assets

  • Promotions Team: Aligns closely with the internal promotions division to integrate robust paid media strategies, targeted CRM lifecycles, and strategic influencer/creator management into holistic digital campaigns, maximizing both cultural impact and commercial conversion

  • Data & Analytics: Collaborates with data specialists to harvest deep audience insights, establish historical benchmarks, and translate raw social metrics into overarching business intelligence

  • Internal Brand Teams: Syncs continuously with the dedicated brand managers for properties like The 40/40 Club, Keys Soulcare, and Planes Apparel to ensure all digital initiatives remain fiercely authentic to each entity's core DNA and broader marketing calendar;

  • Strategic Content Review: Acts as the final strategic gatekeeper for digital output, reviewing proposed social copy, creative assets, and daily content calendars to ensure every piece of content seamlessly aligns with the overarching campaign goals, brand identity, and commercial objectives before going live

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Supports special projects, including social impact initiatives and artist and company-owned (O&O) events

  • Assists with Roc Nation O&O and artist-led activations and experiences

  • Develops and maintains partner pitch materials, decks, and partnership assets

  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital strategy, brand marketing, or digital account management (agency or entertainment/music/sports industry experience preferred)

  • Proven track record of building and scaling digital campaigns for high-profile brands, talent, or lifestyle properties

  • Deep expertise in social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Tubular, Brandwatch) and native platform insights

  • A strong creative eye with the ability to build compelling pitch decks and communicate a visual vision

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Passionate about the intersection of music, sports, entertainment, and commerce

  • Experience using CRM or productivity tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Monday.com)

  • Collaborative approach with ability to work cross-functionally

The expected compensation for this position is:

$76,000.00 USD - $95,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
