Description
The Red Hat Ansible Global Support team is looking for an Intern interested in Ansible to join us in Waterford. In this role, you will first go through initial Ansible onboarding and learning materials and engage with senior team members for mentoring. Then you’ll be able to engage with the customers via ticketing system, remote session, chat and/or phone to provide resolution of customer cases. You’ll proactively collect data, customer impact, and information necessary for a solution. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to apply professional experience to take ownership of assigned activities, resolve problems and support team initiatives.

Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid, full-time internship, with flexible working hours. The expected start date is January 2027.
What you will do:
Learn about AAP Terminologies, Installations, Upgrades, Backup & Restore
Learn about Automation Hub, Insight, case workflow
Address and resolve customer issues regarding Red Hat Ansible Tower via the ticketing system
Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to problems to customers
Create and carry out testing strategies to reproduce a wide variety of customer environments regarding issues and bugs found with Red Hat Ansible Tower and Red Hat Ansible Engine
Work with customers to migrate, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat Ansible Tower
Regularly collaborate with in-house support engineers and developers to produce creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
What you will bring:
You must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship and must be able to join us full-time from January to August 2027
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
A passion for problem solving, investigation and learning new things
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, reliability, creativity, adaptability, time management
The following are considered a plus:
Prior participation in open source software projects
Basic knowledge of Ansible.
