Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce savoury food items, alongside other pastry preparations.
Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, portion control, and adherence to established standards.
Assist with the preparation of mise en place and daily production.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and work areas.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures in accordance with company and local requirements.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of food items according to established procedures.
Handle ingredients correctly and efficiently while minimizing food waste.
Work closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion of production.
Support the team during special events, functions, VIP requirements, and high-volume periods when required.
Demonstrate an interest and willingness to learn about pastry, bakery, desserts, and related production techniques.
Assist the pastry team with basic pastry and bakery tasks when required and under appropriate supervision.
Develop knowledge of pastry ingredients, equipment, techniques, and standards while maintaining primary responsibility for savoury food production.
Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative attitude and contribute to a strong team environment.
Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or Pastry Chef.
