Salary: $120,000-$180,000
Position Overview
Carver Bank is seeking an experienced, high-performing Commercial Lender with an established book of business and a proven track record of driving loan growth, managing complex credit relationships, and delivering strong portfolio performance.
This is a senior-level, production-focused role designed for a confident lender who can originate new business, manage a significant portfolio, and serve as a trusted financial partner to commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven professional with deep expertise in middle-market lending and strong community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and expand a profitable portfolio of bank relationships
• Originate new loans, deposits, and fee-based business
• Manage and grow an existing book of business with disciplined credit oversight
• Structure, underwrite, and present complex credit transactions
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to assess risk
• Partner with credit and operations teams to ensure timely execution
• Maintain credit quality through portfolio monitoring and risk management
• Cross-sell bank products and services to deepen client relationships
• Represent Carver Bank within the community and business marketplace
• Meet or exceed annual production and revenue goals
Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial lending experience
• Proven history of successful loan production and portfolio management
• Established book of business and referral network
• Strong expertise in C&I lending and credit analysis
• Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex transactions
• Excellent financial analysis and underwriting skills
• Self-motivated business development professional
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
