What You’ll Be Part Of
- Short Range Devices (SRD) are becoming more and more important in the car. Handsfree Call uses Bluetooth, CarPlay and Android Auto are based on WiFi, V2X is key technologies to enable Autonomous Driving and UWB/NFC are the part of Passive Keyless Entry. SW is a part of every wireless solution.
- As an R&D Test Expert with a focus on production testing, you will support the development and deployment of robust test solutions across the product lifecycle.
- You will work closely with an experienced test expert, who will guide and support your development, while you gradually take ownership of test activities—particularly in the area of production testing and support.
- Your role will act as a key link between R&D validation and production, ensuring that test concepts are efficient, scalable, and ready for manufacturing.
- You will be part of the Short Range Device team in SBU Connectivity and directly report to a manager in Karlsbad/Germany. The team is spitted between Karlsbad/Germany and Bucharest/Romania. You will be located in Bucharest / Romania.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Support R&D testing activities, including validation of prototypes and new product designs
- Focus on the development and implementation of production test concepts and strategies
- Work closely with an experienced test expert to learn, apply, and improve testing methodologies
- Perform measurements, debugging, and analysis in both R&D and production environments
- Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, with a strong focus on production-related issues
- Support the transfer of test solutions from R&D into production
- Collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and test efficiency
- Contribute to root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Create and maintain test documentation, specifications, and reports
- Drive continuous improvement of production test processes and coverage
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Open to recent graduates: as a junior engineer, you will be supported and mentored by an experienced test expert while developing your skills in R&D and production testing
- Strong academic interest in subjects such as:
- Electronics and hardware systems
- Measurement and test engineering
- Signal analysis and debugging
- Embedded systems or system validation
- Initial practical experience through internships, lab work, or student projects, ideally with exposure to testing or validation, is a plus
- Basic knowledge of electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generators)
- Understanding of production testing principles, such as:
- Test coverage and efficiency
- Repeatability and robustness of test setups
- Familiarity with test automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, or similar)
- Basic understanding of production environments and manufacturing workflows
- Ability to read and work with technical documentation, test specifications, and test procedures
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to work in lab and production environments

- Experiences in collaboration with teams in various geographies
