About The Role
We are currently looking for a Social Expert (Senior) who will be responsible for providing specialist support in resettlement planning, socio-economic assessment, and entitlement preparation for proposed project components identified during the study. The position is responsible for carrying out socio-economic surveys, land market surveys, and other resettlement-related data collection activities, preparing the Resettlement Plan and relevant sections of feasibility study reports, and developing entitlement matrices in accordance with donor agency guidelines and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct socio-economic surveys, land market surveys, and other resettlement-related data collection activities for proposed project components.
- Prepare survey tools, questionnaires, field formats, and data collection plans in line with study requirements and resettlement planning needs.
- Coordinate with field teams, affected persons, local stakeholders, and relevant agencies to collect and verify required socio-economic and land-related data.
- Analyze socio-economic survey findings, affected persons’ profiles, land acquisition impacts, livelihood impacts, and vulnerable group considerations.
- Prepare the Resettlement Plan, including impact assessment, mitigation measures, consultation findings, implementation arrangements, monitoring requirements, and budget inputs.
- Draft socio-economic and resettlement-related sections of feasibility study reports for all relevant project components.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 15 years total professional experience, preferably 8 years’ experience in railway field.
- 5 years’ experience in similar type feasibility study and design consultancy, including preferably 5 years’ experience as Social Specialist or similar post for similar type consultancy.
