Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
· Lead and manage a team of testing and commissioning agent’s engineers, technicians and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, from design review through project handover and operational readiness.
· Provide technical guidance and support to the team to ensure successful project completion.
· Drive safety culture and ensure all commissioning activities comply with approved MOS/MOPs, SOO, Risk Assessments, and LOTO procedures.
Strategy Development:
· Support the Testing & Commissioning Manager/ PM/ SPM to develop and implement effective testing and commissioning strategies, plans and schedules.
· Lead for the development of commissioning scripts, IST procedures, energization plans, and operational readiness plans.
· Coordinate closely with the SE Asia Testing & Commissioning Director/ PM/ SPM to align regional strategies with local execution.
· Identify commissioning risks early and implement mitigation measures.
Project Oversight:
· Directly manage and plan the testing and commissioning process from Cx Level 1 to Cx Level 6 for all data center projects involved.
· Manage interfaces between Electrical, Mechanical, BMS/EPMS, Fire Protection, Security, and Controls systems.
· Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, design team, resource team, account delivery management team, commissioning agents and clients to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.
· Conduct regular site visits during construction stages to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
· Manage commissioning meetings and technical workshops.
· To be full time on site during all testing and commissioning process.
Protocol Enforcement:
· Ensure adherence of testing and commissioning protocols and compliance with company commissioning frameworks, industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation. Client collaboration: · Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the testing and commissioning phase.
· Manage commissioning punch lists, root cause analysis, resolution of technical commissioning issues and ensure timely close-out.
· Coordinate consultants, contractors, OEM vendors, contractors and operations teams to resolve any complex technical issues that arise, ensuring client satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data center testing, commissioning, and operations.
· Good knowledge of data center infrastructure, including HVAC, power systems, and network operations.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the testing and commissioning process.
· Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
· Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP).
· Proactive and self-motivated, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
· Willingness to travel within the region as required.
