Registered Nurse (PRN: PRE-OP/PACU)

With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology.

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate provides exceptional patient care, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, maintains high infection-control standards, and works effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the clinic and operating room setting.
• Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures, including patient positioning and perioperative nursing care.
• Administer IVs, obtain vital signs, and collect specimens. 
• Review patient records, obtain relevant clinical information, and ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to support safe and efficient patient flow.
• Prepare and maintain the clinic and operating room environment, including supplies, equipment, and infection-control standards.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition and communicate relevant information to providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, surgical staff, and other departments to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered environment.

Position Information

• Job Type: PRN
• Schedule: Flexible Monday–Thursday; no weekends, holidays, or call.

Requirements

Education

• BSN preferred

Experience

• Operating Room Circulator: 1 year required
• Urology: 1 year preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
