What's the role?
As the Retail Media Specialist for David Jones Amplify, you will join Medium Rare's high-performing commercial team in a newly created national role to drive the growth of Australia's first luxury retail media network. Collaborating with third-party agencies and internal strategy teams, your primary purpose is to sell, create, and implement experience-led campaigns that connect non-supplier brands with premium, purchase-ready consumers both in-store and online. You will manage your portfolio with a strong commercial focus, delivering end-to-end solutions—such as visual merchandising hot spots and storefront windows—that drive full-funnel shopper engagement, elevate the customer experience, and maximize return on investment for advertisers.
Responsibilities
Drive business planning and revenue growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities.
Build and secure creative media solutions that bring a brand to life in the world of David Jones Amplify.
Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of retail media campaigns while identifying production efficiencies to ensure optimum delivery and client satisfaction.
Lead the review, pricing, and optimisation of media inventory and packaging strategies.
Implement strategies to improve the sell-through of production-heavy channels.
Support the development of preferred supplier relationships to oversee the logistics and execution of experiential pop-up retail media campaigns.
Who are you?
You have proven experience in media sales, retail marketing, shopping centre, or category/partnerships roles within luxury, retail, or media/experiential agency environments.
You are a strategic and creative thinker with a passion for retail media, who gets a thrill out of building new business opportunities and piecing together a brand's attributes into an exceptional media plan.
You possess a strong understanding of media channel planning, inventory, and commercialisation management strategies.
You are highly detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, allowing you to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, collaborating easily with stakeholders and managing client relationships with a customer-centric approach.
You are proficient in using CRM and reporting tools to manage pipelines, track campaign performance, and inform your overall sales strategy.
