Job Description

This role will support the Investment Research Group (IRG) and the RIA platform by delivering clear, reliable performance analytics, portfolio reporting, attribution analysis, model oversight, and automated reporting. The individual will work closely with research analysts, quantitative analysts, and business partners to build scalable reporting solutions, generate meaningful advisor insights, and support data-driven decisions for model portfolios and managed account programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support recurring performance reporting for IRG model portfolios, with a focus on producing accurate, timely, and easy-to-use monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.
  • Review model portfolio performance through attribution, benchmark comparisons, holdings analysis, portfolio diagnostics, and model evaluation to help identify key performance drivers and trends.
  • Develop reporting for peer group analytics, performance rankings, risk-adjusted rankings, and comparative reporting to support investment oversight and advisor insights.
  • Create and maintain advisor-facing reporting packages, model fact sheets, investment presentations, and portfolio analytics materials that clearly communicate performance, positioning, and portfolio insights.
  • Build and improve reporting and analytics solutions using tools like Power BI, SQL, Python, and Dataiku (including new AI-enabled tools). Look for ways to automate and simplify routine reporting so the team works more efficiently and delivers clearer, more transparent insights.
  • Support strong data quality practices across portfolio, holdings, benchmark, and performance data, including reconciliation, validation, documentation, and governance.
  • Partner with RIA business leaders and investment teams to develop reporting, analytics, and insights that support advisor adoption, portfolio oversight, and business growth objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Reporting and analysis experience in a financial services organization (broker/dealer preferred).
  • Knowledge in investment concepts, practices, procedures, management operations and tools.

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

  • Conceptual and practical understanding of the various performance metrics, such as different money-weighted and time-weighted return methodologies, risk analytics, benchmarking, and asset allocation.
  • Experience with investment platforms such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct or Bloomberg, along with visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with U.S.-based colleagues and partners across business units.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and share large amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, computer science, or MCA, along with progress toward CFA, may also be considered.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and moving work forward with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing mutual funds, ETFs, SMA portfolios, model portfolios, or managed account products within a wealth management or investment research setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Dataiku, or similar analytics tool with the required financial tools
  • Ability to work with large datasets, validate information, identify issues, and convert analysis into clear insights for investment, advisor-facing, or business partner reporting.
  • Experience supporting model portfolio programs, managed account platforms, automated reporting workflows, dashboards, or scalable reporting solutions.
