Microsoft D365 F&O SCM Functional Lead
United States | Fully Remote | Full-time
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft D365 F&O SCM Functional Lead to support complex enterprise-scale ERP transformation and implementation initiatives.
This role is focused on leading end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Supply Chain Management (D365 F&O SCM) solutions, with particular emphasis on procurement, inventory, warehousing, master planning, manufacturing, and integrated supply chain processes.
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced functional professional with strong client-facing capabilities, deep knowledge of supply chain operations, and a proven track record delivering complex D365 implementations across business and technology teams.
The Opportunity
You will lead the functional design and delivery of end-to-end Supply Chain Management solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
The role requires someone who can work directly with supply chain leaders, operations teams, functional consultants, technical resources, and finance stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable D365 solutions.
A strong configuration-first mindset is important, with an emphasis on leveraging standard D365 capabilities before introducing customization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Supply Chain Management implementations.
- Drive solution design across Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Advanced Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Sales & Order Management, Master Planning, and Production Control.
- Conduct workshops with supply chain leaders, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
- Analyze existing operational processes and define future-state business processes.
- Translate business requirements into functional D365 solutions.
- Map real-world supply chain processes to standard D365 capabilities.
- Promote configuration-based solutions while minimizing unnecessary customization.
- Develop and maintain business process flows and functional solution documentation.
- Prepare and review Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), and test scripts.
- Coordinate closely with technical teams, Finance workstreams, and other functional areas.
- Provide functional direction and guidance to SCM consultants throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Support system testing, data validation, migration activities, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify functional gaps and recommend appropriate solution approaches.
- Ensure functional deliverables meet project standards and business requirements.
- Provide senior functional leadership during complex implementation and solution-design discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 15+ years of experience in ERP and/or Supply Chain Management implementations.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Supply Chain Management.
- Proven experience delivering complex D365 SCM solutions in client-facing environments.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead functional workshops with business and operational stakeholders.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently as a senior functional resource.
Required D365 SCM Experience
Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate substantial hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Supply Chain Management.
Relevant experience should include:
