Job Summary:
Leads quality inspection activities within assigned manufacturing areas by providing advanced technical oversight and functional leadership. Ensures product conformance by coordinating inspections, resolving complex quality issues, and guiding inspectors and production partners on quality requirements. Strengthens quality execution by reinforcing inspection standards, supporting audits, and promoting consistent documentation practices. Serves as a primary escalation point for QA/QC issues while maintaining independence from production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads daily QA/QC inspection activities within assigned manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Serves as a technical resource for inspectors and production partners on inspection methods, drawings, and quality requirements.
Resolves complex quality issues by performing advanced inspections, analyzing root causes, and coordinating corrective actions.
Supports audits and third-party inspections by preparing documentation, escorting inspectors, and addressing findings.
Guides, trains, and cross-trains QA/QC inspectors to promote consistent inspection practices and knowledge continuity.
Reviews inspection documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to controlled procedures.
Promotes a safe, orderly, and quality-focused work environment across inspection activities.
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
5 – 7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment required.
Experience providing functional or technical leadership within QA/QC activities required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Industry-related quality or inspection certification preferred.
