Overview
The Operations Support Specialist – AOC plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations within a locum tenens staffing organization. This position provides cross-functional support to account management, recruiting, credentialing, and finance teams by coordinating processes, maintaining data integrity, and driving administrative workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, system-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The base pay estimate for this role is $21.97 - $35.14 hourly. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for a quarterly bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.
Job Highlights
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)
- Supports day-to-day operational workflows across departments, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Posts new openings on job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, Doximity, GasWork, etc.).
- Assists with assignment lifecycle processes, including name clearing, candidate submission, preparing provider contracts, onboarding, credentialing coordination, and assignment tracking.
- Manages job orders from client VMS and creates job openings in agency ATS for applicable jobs.
- Maintains and audits data within CRM and operational systems (e.g., Bullhorn, Bilflo), identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitors key operational metrics and generates reports for leadership review.
- Coordinates internal communication between recruiting, account management, onboarding, and billing/payroll teams.
- Reviews and approves jobs in timekeeping software.
- Supports timesheet tracking, invoicing workflows, and compliance documentation in partnership with billing/payroll teams.
- Assists in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Provides administrative support for projects, audits, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):
- 2+ years of experience in operations, administrative support, or coordination roles in healthcare staffing; locum tenens experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail, particularly with data entry and system accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM systems; Bullhorn preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
