18 Month Max Term Salaried Contract

This is a unique opportunity for you to join Reserve Bank of Australia.
You will be our Principal Solutions Architect for our Cyber Security Program. Working with our Enterprise, Domain and Security Architects along with our Cyber team to strengthen our security posture and improve responsiveness to vulnerabilities and threats.
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Solution Architect for an 18 months Fixed Term, who will contribute to architectures, patterns and standards while being the trusted voice of architecture to the Program director.
You will ensure consistency and direction across the streams of the program and play a leading role in defining the architectures requisite to meeting the program objectives.
We are looking for a Principal Solutions Architect who:
Define solutions architectures, patterns, standards, high-level designs, and impact assessments for initiatives and/or systems in the Bank with respect to the program scope.
Take ownership of Architecture deliverables for Conceptual and Solution Architecture documents and ensure that they are agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders.
Work with analysts in defining business requirements and work with subject matter experts to develop high level designs, in line with the enterprise architecture, patterns and practices. This may occasionally extend to assist with detailed design work.
Collaborate and provide technical leadership and consultancy with project managers and impacted business stakeholders in scoping initiatives, ensuring they are scoped in accordance with architectural objectives and principles.
Has experience in producing Solution Architectures for complex solutions (including infrastructure, cloud, on-premises and hybrid solutions) with demonstrated understanding of automation in the CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code .
Has an understanding in Architecture design that improved controls based on vulnerability management lifecycle.
Ability to identify, document, and proactively communicate risks and impacts across projects and systems
Drive Architectural Certification process to completion for key project deliverables.
Has a proven background in Software/Infrastructure automation and an understanding of the tools used to achieve this.
Is an excellent communicator and can bridge the gap between business value and understanding and technical delivery
Technical Capabilities
Understanding of COBIT 2019, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-40 and CIS Controls.
Experience with development principles, tools, and frameworks.
Strong understanding of applications automation processes (eg Fortify, Sonar Qube etc.)
Ideally experience with Banking or Payment Systems (e.g., SWIFT, NPP, FSS etc.)
Experience with automation toolsets (e.g., Puppet, Terraform, vRA, Chocolatey, Python, PowerShell and Pester etc).
Experience with CI/CD toolsets (e.g., Azure DevOps Service, Azure update manager, Artifactory, Gitlab etc.)
Understanding of common infrastructure systems (e.g., F5 Insights, BIG-IP Next Central Manager, Tenable Nessus, Cisco Nexus, Intersight, IPS, ISE, Ivanti, Microsoft Connected Cacheetc.)
Understanding of certificate lifecycle management tool (e.g., Azure Vault, Venafi, Hashicorp Vault and Packer etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and persuade peers and senior stakeholders.
Understanding of strategic and new and emerging technologies and their practical application.
Understanding of relevant models, notations and tools.
Strong experience in resolving solution design and architecture contentions.
Sound experience in architectural disciplines across a range of complex projects and technologies.
Qualifications
TOGAF is preferred.
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry.
