Reporting to the SpecOx Team Lead Engineer, the Equipment Installation Technician is responsible for designing and installing SpecOx systems at ChemTreat customer sites. In this role, you will help deliver specialized chemical feed and oxidant system solutions by partnering with SpecOx technical consultants, vendors, customers, contractors, and field teams to support safe, high-quality installations that meet customer needs.
This position will be Remote.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Designing, quoting, and supporting installation of ClO2/MCA systems, chemical feed equipment, piping, controls, pumps, tanks, and related installation components.
Assisting with pre-installation site surveys and working with customers, vendors, sales teams, contractors, and SpecOx technical consultants to establish timelines and resolve installation needs.
Managing SpecOx project schedules, installation dates, and travel planning for Application Engineer I and II associates.
Supervising outside contractors and supporting junior application engineers during SpecOx projects.
Re-designing existing chemical feed systems to meet ChemTreat standards.
Preparing and completing required safety and project documentation, including JHA, lockout/tagout, fall protection, MSDS, confined space, and related site requirements.
Providing customer support, installation procedures, equipment documentation, and technical assistance as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the water treatment industry is preferred.
Experience designing, installing, quoting, or supporting ClO2/MCA systems, chemical feed equipment, precursor chemical piping, motive water piping, and injection points.
Experience with CPVC, PVC, mild steel, stainless tubing, piping installation/configuration, cooling water controls, boiler controls, chemical storage systems, and polymer feed applications.
Working knowledge of equipment controls, electrical, and pumps, including 4 to 20/110v/CAT 5, Walchem, HACH, PLC, routers, Grundfos boosters, and chemical feed pump applications.
Ability to travel up to 50% and complete required safety training and documentation, including confined space, lockout/tagout, fall protection, ladder safety, JLG lift safety, JHA, OSHA 10-hour certification, and 49 CFR.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
