Job Briefing – Libya Therapy Area Partner
Therapy Area: Solid Tumors | Oncology
About the Role
A leading multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Therapy Area Partner – Solid Tumors to support its Oncology business in Libya, with a primary focus on the Eastern Region, covering the area from Sirte to Tobruk.
The role is responsible for developing strong relationships with oncology stakeholders, supporting the appropriate availability and delivery of medicines to patients, coordinating sample logistics, and ensuring effective engagement with oncology centers and hospitals across the assigned territory.
The successful candidate will combine a strong medical foundation with excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and follow-up skills, with a genuine interest in the Oncology and Solid Tumors therapy area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships with oncologists and key healthcare stakeholders across the Eastern Region of Libya.
- Conduct regular visits and follow-up with oncology centers and hospitals to understand their requirements and identify potential gaps or needs.
- Support the coordination and follow-up of medicine availability and delivery to help ensure appropriate access for patients.
- Provide logistical support for the proper collection, documentation, and transportation of samples from oncology centers to designated locations outside the hospitals.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper follow-up of all samples collected and transported.
- Prepare a monthly report covering samples sent and received, including positive and negative results.
- Ensure timely and consistent communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor developments and requirements within oncology centers and provide relevant updates to the appropriate teams.
- Build a strong understanding of the local Oncology landscape, including key centers, hospitals, physicians, and patient-access pathways.
- Ensure full dedication to the assigned territory and maintain consistent daily engagement and follow-up throughout the working day.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain strong ethical and compliance standards in all interactions.
Key Requirements
- Medical background with strong medical knowledge and the ability to understand and communicate scientific and medical information effectively.
- Previous experience in Oncology is highly preferred, particularly exposure to Solid Tumors.
- Recent medical graduates may also be considered if they demonstrate a strong interest in Oncology, excellent learning agility, and a clear willingness to develop their therapy-area knowledge.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain credible, long-term relationships with Oncologists and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple activities, stakeholders, and logistical requirements simultaneously.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to cover the Eastern Region of Libya, from Sirte to Tobruk.
- Candidates based in the Eastern Region of Libya are strongly preferred, given the need for frequent access to oncology centers and hospitals.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- High level of commitment, ownership, accountability, and daily availability for the role.
- Fluent Arabic and good English communication skills are preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a medically qualified professional with a strong interest in Oncology, excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities, and the ability to work independently across a geographically broad territory.
Experience within a multinational pharmaceutical environment or previous exposure to Oncology, Solid Tumors, hospital engagement, patient access, or healthcare logistics would be considered a strong advantage.

Preferred Base: Eastern Region of Libya
Travel: Extensive travel across the assigned territory will be required.
