ABOUT INNOTEC
Solve Complex Problems. Drive Innovation. Think Like an Owner.
At Innotec, engineering is about more than designing solutions. It's about understanding complex systems, solving meaningful challenges, and continuously improving how things are made.
Our engineers work across innovative manufacturing technologies, automation, product development, and process improvement. They are trusted to identify opportunities, solve problems, implement solutions, and make a measurable impact on the success of the business.
And because Innotec is an employee-owned company (ESOP), that success belongs to all of us.
This position may be filled at either the Engineer I or Engineer II level based on experience and qualifications.
WHY ENGINEERS CHOOSE INNOTEC
Ownership Means Something Here
As an employee-owner, your contributions directly impact the company's future and your own. We expect our team members to think like owners, act like owners, and make decisions with long-term success in mind because they have a genuine stake in the outcome.
Solve Real Engineering Challenges
Our highly automated manufacturing environment creates opportunities to work on complex technical problems involving equipment, processes, product performance, automation, and system optimization.
Make an Immediate Impact
Engineers at Innotec aren't buried in bureaucracy. You'll be empowered to identify issues, propose solutions, lead improvements, and see the results of your work.
Grow Faster
Gain broad exposure to manufacturing, automation, quality systems, project management, process improvement, and product development. This role is designed for engineers who want to expand their capabilities, not stay confined to a narrow specialty.
Be Part of Something Innovative
Our manufacturing processes leverage advanced technology and automation, creating an environment where curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving are valued every day.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the performance of your assigned manufacturing area, driving results across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges involving equipment, processes, materials, and product performance
- Work hands-on with manufacturing equipment and processes to understand issues and implement practical solutions
- Support daily production needs while driving longer-term improvement initiatives
- Lead process optimization efforts that improve efficiency, reliability, quality, and overall operational performance
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, delivering measurable business results
- Support changeovers, startups, process development activities, and new product launches
- Analyze operational and quality data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, suppliers, and leadership teams to solve problems and achieve business objectives
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, process standards, and controlled documents
- Identify opportunities across the operation and take initiative to improve systems, processes, and results
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 3-7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting production, improving manufacturing processes, and resolving equipment or process-related issues
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement improvements with measurable results
- Experience leading engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Ability to analyze data and convert insights into practical operational improvements
- Experience improving safety, quality, productivity, reliability, or cost performance
- Comfortable working on the production floor and directly engaging with equipment, processes, and operations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across operations, quality, maintenance, suppliers, and leadership teams
- Ability to balance day-to-day production support with longer-term improvement initiatives
- This is a hands-on engineering role. Successful candidates enjoy being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems firsthand, and taking ownership of operational results.
You'll Thrive Here If You:
- Take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
- Enjoy being hands-on and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to understand how things work
- Want to learn every aspect of a manufacturing business, not just engineering
- Prefer solving problems yourself rather than simply handing them off to someone else
- Naturally look for ways to improve systems, processes, and results
- Enjoy balancing technical challenges with business impact
- Are comfortable moving between the production floor, project work, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
- Build credibility through initiative, follow-through, and results
- Enjoy collaborating with operators, technicians, maintenance teams, suppliers, quality personnel, and leadership
- Have a mindset of continuous learning and technical curiosity
- Prefer environments where impact matters more than hierarchy
- Enjoy seeing your ideas implemented and your contributions make a measurable difference
- Think like an owner and take pride in improving the business
WHY INNOTEC?
At Innotec, you'll find the opportunity to solve challenging problems, grow your technical capabilities, and contribute to an organization where your work matters.
You'll join a team that values innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Most importantly, you'll join a company where you're more than an employee.
You're an owner.
If you're looking for an engineering career that offers challenge, growth, impact, and ownership, we'd love to hear from you.
