Job Description:

About the Role & Team

Join The Walt Disney Company as a Programming Planning Supervisor, Kids Hub, where you will oversee the delivery of linear and non-linear schedules and plans for Disney kids channels across the Iberian region. In this role, you will ensure that grids, EPGs and related metadata are delivered accurately, on time and in line with Disney’s programming strategy and brand standards. As a key problem-solver and supportive mentor, you will help optimise content performance, strengthen planning processes and contribute to the broader Kids Hub programming vision. This role reports to the Programming Director.

You’ll join a team grounded in our Disney values — acting with Integrity, welcoming everyone through Inclusion, embracing boundless Creativity, working together through Collaboration and caring deeply for our Community. These values shape how we work and how we support one another every day.

This fixed-term opportunity is available through to the end of January 2027 and is based in Madrid, operating on a hybrid model with four days per week in the office.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of linear and non-linear programming schedules for multi-territory Disney kids feeds, ensuring all plans, EPGs, and metadata are accurate, consistent, and aligned with strategic guidelines and timelines. You will interpret traffic and audience metrics to identify trends and opportunities, propose programming tactics, and contribute creative ideas that enhance schedule performance and viewer engagement. This role safeguards the reliability and quality of Disney’s kids programming offer in Spain.

  • Deliver linear and non-linear content plans and monthly grids in Excel and WON for multi territory Disney Channel feeds, based on approved programming plans.

  • Prepare and upload EPGs/TV guides and ensure all schedule information is delivered in the required formats and within agreed deadlines.

  • Manage and update metadata and language tracking documents to ensure accurate and timely delivery for all transmissions.

  • Maintain up-to-date documents and databases (including roll-outs, metadata, and historical planning) with precise and reliable information.

  • Interpret linear and non-linear traffic metrics, audience data, and competitor performance to recommend programming tactics and schedule optimizations.

  • Monitor marketplace and competitor activity, particularly within kids and pre-school environments, and report insights to inform programming decisions.

  • Communicate plans and schedules clearly to team members, managers, and the wider organization, ensuring alignment with departmental requirements and timelines.

  • Contribute creative ideas to continually improve plans, schedules, and processes, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Coordinate closely with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth broadcast and delivery of all linear and non-linear plans.

  • Work proactively under pressure, managing your own projects and time while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to work in an international, multi-language context

  • Strong proficiency in linear and non-linear programming planning tools, including Excel and WON, with the ability to manage complex multi-territory schedules

  • Ability to interpret traffic, audience, and competitive data to inform programming decisions and suggest schedule improvements

  • High level of proactivity, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects independently

  • Skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail and the ability to spot and resolve scheduling or data issues quickly

  • Effective communicator with strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

  • Ability to work autonomously and act as a resource and informal mentor

  • Good knowledge of the media market and kids programming environment, including awareness of competitor activity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar programming role within a media or entertainment organization, particularly focused on kids content.

  • Hands-on experience with audience analysis and performance reporting for kids channels.

  • Product knowledge and technical expertise with WON or similar broadcast planning systems.

  • Knowledge of the media market and kids environment in Iberia, including competitors and audience behavior
