We are seeking a Specialist Complex Sourcing to play a key role in ensuring the effective planning, sourcing, and procurement of critical materials that support both project and operational requirements. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams, business leaders, suppliers, and Supply Chain Management partners to develop sourcing strategies, lead competitive procurement processes, and manage supplier relationships.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute complex sourcing strategies for transmission pipeline materials and equipment in partnership with business units and Supply Chain Management teams.

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and purchase order management.

  • Collaborate with project and operational stakeholders to identify long-lead material requirements and support supply chain planning activities.

  • Serve as the primary SCM contact for assigned sourcing categories, ensuring timely delivery, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation.

  • Support Category Managers in the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and enterprise-wide contract development.

  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions for new agreements and contract amendments while ensuring compliance with company policies and governance requirements.

  • Support supplier relationship management activities, including performance management, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with a minimum of six years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.

  • Demonstrated experience sourcing transmission pipeline materials, including pipe, coatings, valves, fittings, engineered equipment, or related products.

  • Strong knowledge of RFx processes, contract development, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders through strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Skilled at analyzing complex business challenges, assessing risks, and making sound procurement decisions.

  • Experience managing supplier performance and fostering productive supplier relationships with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement and purchase order management, preferably Oracle R12 or Oracle Cloud.

  • Proven communication (oral and written), strong interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive talents.

Preferred:

  • A postgraduate qualification or MBA would be an asset.

  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation or equivalent is an asset.
