Role Summary:
The Customized Solutions CNC Operator reviews and prepares drawings for production, operates CNC equipment, and ensures products meet quality and engineering specifications. This role partners with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to deliver safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing results while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Review and validate drawings, work orders, and job packets
- Convert approved drawings into CNC machine software
- Operate CNC equipment to produce parts to specification
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools
- Load, stage, and organize materials for production runs
- Complete routine cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks
- Collaborate across teams to resolve production issues and improve processes
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with computers and production software
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Forklift experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical training
- CNC machining, manufacturing, or custom fabrication experience
- Experience operating Steinhauer or similar CNC experience
- Familiarity with machining math and CNC programming concepts
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and fine motor skills
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials
- Consistently lifting up to 50lbs and occasionally 75lbs
- Ability to hear machine alarms, warnings, and verbal communications
- Frequent use of near and far vision, depth perception, and color recognition for quality and safety purposes
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in an indoor manufacturing environment
- Frequent exposure to noise, vibration, dust, and moving equipment
- Occasional exposure to temperature fluctuations, fumes, and outdoor conditions
- Requires adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements
- May work independently or collaboratively with team members
