## The impact you’ll make
As a Facilities Engineer at Lam, with your project management expertise, you’ll plan and oversee facility changes for plant, tool installations, and production equipment layouts. You'll work with architects to develop design criteria, layouts, and prepare contracts. You inspect construction and installation progress to ensure adherence with established specifications and schedules. Your focus on performance specifications required to meet unique operating conditions contributes to the efficiency and compliance of Lam's state of the art facilities.
This role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on operational support. Key duties include defining and implementing maintenance and repair strategies to ensure efficient and reliable operations. In addition, the position involves practical tasks such as performing minor repairs, supporting service and maintenance activities, assisting with operational requirements, and managing the company vehicle fleet and related equipment. Overall, the role requires both technical expertise and a proactive, hands-on approach.
## What you’ll do
- Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs
- Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes
- Plans and implements maintenance strategies, performs minor repairs as part of daily work routines, assists with fleet management
## Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, coordination, and implementation
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a structured and solution-oriented working style
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Property Manager with at least 3 years of professional experience in property or facility management.
- Technical background in electrical engineering, electrical installation, or a related field is highly desirable.
## What we're offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
