Description
We are now hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team, bringing technical expertise and the ability to take a technical lead role in projects, coordinate development activities, and drive structured planning and collaboration across disciplines.
You will work within New Product Development for our Workstations and Ports: our picking stations for handling goods within the AutoStore system. Your work will include hands-on electronics development, PCB design, and motor drive design. As a senior engineer, you will also take a broader view of the AutoStore system, understanding how your designs interact with other products and contributing across the full product lifecycle, from prototyping and development through to mass production.
Job Responsibilities:
Take technical ownership of electronics development for Workstations and Ports, including motor drive design and integration with other AutoStore hardware.
Coordinate electronics activities within the cross-functional New Product Development team, creating clear plans, following technical deliverables, and supporting less experienced engineers with technical guidance.
Design and validate electronics solutions, considering how they interact with the wider AutoStore product portfolio and system architecture.
Maintain technical documentation, project plans, and milestones, ensuring progress and priorities are clear to the team.
Contribute throughout the full product lifecycle, from early concepts and prototypes through testing, compliance, and mass production.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in electronics engineering, including analog and digital electronics, power electronics, and motor drive design / BLDC motor control.
Hands-on experience across the full PCB development lifecycle, from hardware architecture and schematic design through layout, bring-up, testing, fault finding, and release to production.
Experience with EMC, DFM, DFT, compliance, and high-volume production, ideally within complex electromechanical products.
Experience with relevant tools and technologies such as Altium, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, STM32 microcontrollers, bus systems and sensors.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Cybernetics/Robotics, or a related field.
Location for this role is either at our headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or our Oslo office (Lysaker). We welcome applications from candidates across Europe who are open to relocating to Norway.
Application deadline: August 31st. Please note that we review applications continuously—if this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply as early as possible! All inquiries are treated confidentially.
