About the Job
As an Application Security Specialist, you will play a key role in improving the security of applications, development platforms, and software delivery processes. You will work closely with developers, architects, platform engineers, and security professionals to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle and support the delivery of secure and resilient solutions.
The role combines technical expertise, security advisory, and practical implementation. You will contribute to application security architecture, security tooling, secure development practices, vulnerability management, and developer enablement initiatives. You will also support the secure adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development and modern cloud-native platforms.
The position is based at our headquarters in Denmark.
Responsibilities
- Drive and support the integration of security into software development processes, platforms, and engineering practices.
- Perform application security reviews, threat modelling activities, and security assessments of new and existing solutions.
- Work with development teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities and design weaknesses.
- Contribute to the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of application security capabilities, including SAST, DAST, SCA, API Security, Container Security, and related technologies.
- Provide guidance on secure software design, secure coding practices, and security-by-design principles.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Help define and maintain application security standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Support vulnerability management processes, reporting, risk assessments, and remediation tracking.
- Contribute to developer enablement initiatives through training, workshops, security awareness activities, and practical guidance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and security capabilities, including AI-assisted development and application security solutions.
- Monitor developments in application security, industry frameworks, and threat landscapes to continuously improve security practices.

You have a pragmatic mindset and can translate security requirements into practical recommendations. You are comfortable collaborating across teams, analyzing complex technical challenges, and contributing to security improvements that deliver measurable value.
You are curious, proactive, and motivated by continuous learning in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of secure software development principles and application security concepts.
- Familiarity with common application security risks and industry guidance such as OWASP, CWE, and secure-by-design practices.
- Knowledge of modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and software delivery processes.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
- Ability to analyze security findings and communicate recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience or interest in one or more of the following:

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with application security testing tools and secure development practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies.

- Experience participating in security reviews, architecture discussions, or threat modelling activities.
- Interest in AI-assisted development, AI security, and emerging security technologies.
- Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience.
