Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and solutions-oriented Professional Lines Underwriter specializing in Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) to join a team. This role involves underwriting Errors & Omissions (E&O) and General Liability exposures, managing complex renewals, and driving new business opportunities. The successful candidate will develop strong broker relationships and contribute to the growth of a profitable book of business . Responsibilities
- Underwrite, price, and negotiate new and renewal MPL accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to drive new business production.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of professional liability risks.
- Collaborate with the national MPL underwriting team to ensure consistency and best practices.
- Maintain high service standards for brokers and insureds.
- Consistently exceed quote activity and production goals.
- Attend broker meetings, industry events, and client visits to strengthen market presence.
- Contribute to the growth of a profitable book of business and achieve underwriting results.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Professional Liability/E&O underwriting experience.
- Strong sales and business development mindset.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to generate underwriting profit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
