Senior Functional Designer COBOL

Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Senior Functional Designer with expertise in COBOL for a consultancy mission at a client site. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining systems and applications that support the Life Business Division. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Business, IS, and Testing teams, to analyze high-level functional requirements and design robust IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into structured IT solutions while maintaining a functional approach.
• Design user interfaces, business logic, and database architecture.
• Follow up on the implementation of designs and set up a test approach.
• Interact directly with the IS Project Manager to agree on scope and milestones.
• Monitor and respond to production incidents, coordinating remediation efforts as needed.
• Review source code and write SQL queries on demand.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in functional analysis, user interface design, and testing within an insurance IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL (Micro Focus) and SQL databases.
• Professional knowledge of Dutch is required.
• Master's or Engineer degree in IT or a scientific domain with IT interest, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical analysis.
