What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a public transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-access areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other designated locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures, reporting access-control concerns and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or the military.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
