Position Overview
This role can be based in Denver, CO following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible)
The Senior Demand Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the enterprise intake and demand management process for Global IT. This role serves as the primary owner of the front door into Global IT, ensuring all business and GIT-sponsored requests are evaluated, governed, prioritized, routed, and transitioned into execution through a standardized process.
This position partners closely with business stakeholders, GIT leaders, portfolio managers, architects, project managers, and platform teams to ensure demand is aligned to strategic priorities, appropriately evaluated, and visible throughout its lifecycle. The role is accountable for driving transparency, governance, operational efficiency, and reporting across the demand intake process.
Essential Job Functions
Demand Management & Intake Ownership
Own and continuously improve the Global IT intake and demand management process.
Serve as the process owner for all intake workflows, governance standards, documentation, and operating procedures.
Ensure all requests follow a standardized intake process from submission through execution readiness.
Maintain process integrity, compliance, and auditability across all regions and functions.
Define and oversee intake SLAs, escalation paths, and performance metrics.
Governance & Prioritization
Facilitate intake governance reviews and demand triage sessions.
Partner with business leaders to ensure requests are prioritized according to strategic objectives, resource constraints, and business value.
Evaluate incoming requests for completeness, duplication, business impact, and strategic alignment.
Ensure appropriate approvals, decision points, and governance checkpoints are completed before work progresses.
Drive consistency in demand evaluation and decision-making across Global IT.
Portfolio & Capacity Alignment
Collaborate with PMO leadership, portfolio management, enterprise architecture, and technology leaders to align approved demand with available capacity.
Track demand through the intake lifecycle and provide visibility into incoming work, backlogs, bottlenecks, and pipeline health.
Ensure approved requests are routed to the appropriate teams and transitioned successfully into project, product, or operational execution models.
Support portfolio planning and investment decision-making through demand analysis and reporting.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders seeking to engage Global IT through the intake process.
Build strong relationships with business leaders, functional approvers, delivery teams, and operational stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and communication efforts related to intake governance and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and education to users on intake requirements, expectations, and processes.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into:
Demand volume
Intake cycle time
Approval bottlenecks
Backlog trends
Portfolio demand pipeline
SLA performance
Analyze demand patterns and provide recommendations for process improvements and capacity planning.
Produce executive-ready reporting for senior leadership and governance forums.
Process & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimize intake workflows.
Lead enhancement initiatives related to intake tools, forms, workflows, automations, and reporting.
Partner with platform owners and technology teams to implement process improvements.
Establish and maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guidance.
Drive adoption of new capabilities and changes across the business.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Demand Management, Portfolio Management, PMO, Business Operations, or Technology Delivery.
Experience managing intake, prioritization, governance, or portfolio processes.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience developing executive-level reporting and dashboards.
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience
ITIL certification or strong knowledge of ITIL Demand Management practices.
Experience with portfolio management, project management, or product operating models.
Experience with workflow and work management platforms such as ClickUp, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar solutions.
Experience supporting global or multi-regional organizations.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $150,000- $160,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
