We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.
Job Summary
This position develops, implements, and leads successful customer operations. They direct and control activities in multiple facilities with complex accounts and large numbers of employees to ensure efficient and economical processes for storing and distributing inventory. This position monitors volume for respective clients, ensures contract compliance, and is typically responsible for meeting a revenue plan.
Responsibilities:
Develops and monitors operational goals and plans.
Sets priorities and coordinates with various functions to improve efficiency.
Manages operations to meet customer deadlines.
Develops and executes account plans, cross-sells, provides customer service, participates in reviews and revisions, reports financial performance, coordinates special projects, and resolves problems.
Organizes and structures team/department.
Oversees budgeting/financial administration, functional administration, and staff management.
Serves as the primary on-site operations leader within a shared client facility, maintaining daily interaction with customer management, production teams, engineering, quality, and supply chain personnel.
Builds and maintains strong customer relationships through continuous engagement, issue resolution, operational reviews, and performance reporting.
Partners closely with customer stakeholders to support production schedules, inventory management, material flow, and critical program requirements.
Represents the company in day-to-day customer discussions, ensuring alignment on service levels, operational priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leads cross-functional collaboration between site operations, customer teams, and corporate support functions to drive performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated success operating within a customer-owned facility and maintaining executive-level customer relationships.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers continuously throughout the workday.
Experience supporting production-critical operations where responsiveness, accuracy, and customer partnership are essential.
Ability to influence outcomes and resolve operational issues through collaboration with multiple customer and internal stakeholders.
Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
Experience in a logistics/distribution environment - Preferred
Experience with implementations or systems customization and working with multiple accounts/facilities
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in fast-paced work environment
Ability to motivate and manage staff, especially under pressure
Demonstrates flexibility, diplomacy and facilitation skills
Ability to manage customer relationships resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction
Possesses strong background in ecommerce
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
5-7 years operations experience in high-volume warehouse or manufacturing operation, including
3-5 years operations management experience with P&L responsibility
Required:
Operational Leadership in a Client-Facing Environment
Experience managing day-to-day warehouse, logistics, distribution, or facility operations.
Proven ability to lead employees, drive performance, and solve operational issues while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Customer Relationship Management
Demonstrated experience serving as the primary point of contact for a client.
Ability to communicate effectively with customer leadership, manage expectations, address concerns, and provide regular operational updates.
Financial and Performance Management
Experience managing KPIs, service levels, labor productivity, and operational budgets.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve service, cost, and efficiency.
Additional Criteria:
Job Grade: 30C
Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to self-relocate – Required.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am to 7 pm
Requires schedule flexibility depending on business needs
