Short Description
Perform a variety of routine duties to assist medical, technical, and clerical staff in departmental operations.
These duties include:
Load and unload cassettes and cameras with film; remove exposed film for automatic processing; develop x-ray film in accordance with standard procedures; sort and label processed film, copy films as required.
Clean assigned work area and related equipment.
Maintain inventory levels of radiographic film and other supplies; order and organize stock so that it's properly maintained to avoid loss due to expiration.
Assist medical, technical, and clerical staff to provide general patient care by transporting patients as requested; move patients on and off procedure table; clean rooms and equipment.
Assist medical, technical, and clerical staff to expedite dictation and final resulting.
Collecting and collating films, jackets, requests, etc. Uses the Radiology Information System (RIS) to enter, log, and correct patient and procedure information.
Collect, log and deposit soiled laundry appropriately ensuring proper sanitation standards and cleaning of work areas.
Provide the highest level of patient satisfaction by promptly and courteously responding to the needs and requests of patients, visitors and the public; respond to questions with clear, accurate information; provide assistance to patients and their families.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Experience Required
Prefer previous patient care contact.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong analytical skills.
Computer literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office software.
Education Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-CPR Certification (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
