Job Title: Implementation Specialist

Job Summary: As the Implementation Specialist, you will direct and coordinate client implementation for new and existing customers. You will also provide focused service from pre-sale consultation through initial post-sale client administration, fostering strong, long-term partnerships with customers and the consulting community.

A Day in the Life: No two days are the same!  You will be responsible for directing all aspects of client implementations, partnering with all key stakeholders (i.e., sales/service staff, consultants, plan sponsors, and other internal business units) to proactively identify and address critical implementation issues ensuring customer expectations are consistently satisfied or exceeded. You will also lead process improvement efforts to promote on-going enhancements to program installation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the single point-of-contact for client implementations; Mediates and coordinates resolution of all project deliverables and implementation related issues. 
  • Develop and execute implementation strategy consistent with the organization and client expectations. 
  • Engage team members to follow-through on their responsibilities and tasks. 
  • Identifies, communicates and tracks cost sensitive items not included as part of the standard process and highlights them for consideration in the determination of rate adjustments or renewal activity. 
  • Solicits and assesses internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement on the implementation process (i.e., systems, resources, tools, etc.). 
  • Participate in identifying gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on a broad view of the organization; contributes to development of new or updated implementation tools, resources, and materials. 
  • Provides consultative support to customers to identify administrative and operational efficiencies resulting in potential financial savings for both the organization and clients. 
  • Identifies opportunities for cross sales and account rounding of additional products and services throughout the implementation process. 
  • May lead critical initiatives that contribute to the development of new or updated implementation tools, resources and materials. 
  • Furnishes essential feedback on the effect new products lend to the implementation process. 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare or pharmacy benefit project management. Certificate programs (PMP, CAPM, PMI preferred), and/or higher-level training are highly desired.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare cost containment experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transaction sets 834 and 837.
  • Experience interacting with various levels of organizations to effectively influence others and achieve optimal results.

  • Exercises creativity and innovation in achieving project results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm CST.  On-site, in-person working location in Amarillo, TX preferred.
