Position Purpose:

The In-House Video Editor manages execution of post-production for in-store studio content, owning editing workflows, pipeline efficiency, and final asset delivery. Additionally they may work on special projects like :60 storytelling pieces for PR to air inside College Football broadcasts, C-suite sizzles and the like, pending bandwidth. This role is responsible for editing short-form, product-focused content and ensuring all deliverables are optimized for channel-specific needs. The role partners closely with the Producer / On-Camera Presenter and Studio Camera Operator at Store 915 to align on creative direction, technical requirements, and timelines. This role will be assigned tasks by our Project Management team in workfront to ensure the workload is balanced. The in-house editor works closely with the PMO team to ensure work is prioritized and completed on time and on budget. This role requires a highly skilled editor with strong technical expertise, attention to detail and a creative eye.


Key Responsibilities:

60% Editing & Post-Production Execution

  • Edits short-form video content using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other relevant tools
  • Applies graphics, motion, text, and effects to enhance storytelling and engagement
  • Ensures all content meets brand, creative, and technical standards
  • Optimizes content for channel-specific formats including social-first and vertical content
  • Balances speed with quality to meet production deadlines
  • Maintains consistency across all deliverables
  • Leverages cleared music to drive pacing and tone for each deliverable

20% Workflow Management & Pipeline Optimization

  • Establishes efficient post-production workflows, including proxy editing, camera-to-cloud workflows, and final asset integration
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and improve speed to delivery
  • Ensures clear handoffs between capture, edit, and final delivery

15% Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partners with Store 915 studio team to align on footage, direction, and expectations
  • Provides feedback on capture quality, framing, and technical needs to improve downstream editing
  • Communicates timelines, needs, and constraints clearly across teams
  • Maintains strong working relationships across Production, Creative, and Marketing teams
  • Trains internal teams on editing best practices to develop more in house resources

5% Channel Optimization & Best Practices

  • Applies platform-specific best practices based on channel behavior and audience trends
  • Advises on edit pacing, structure, graphics placement, and content delivery
  • Ensures outputs are tailored per channel (aspect ratios, timing, formatting)


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Position reports to Reports to Studio Producer
  • No direct responsibility for supervising others.


Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience editing video content using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and related tools
  • Strong understanding of video editing techniques, motion graphics, and post-production workflows
  • Experience editing for multiple platforms including social and short-form content
  • Familiarity with proxy workflows, camera-to-cloud pipelines, and modern production processes
  • Experience using Workfront or other project management tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills


Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
