This position reports to Cluster Lead, MedTech Southeast Asia and General Manager, Surgery
Lead the Johnson & Johnson Singapore Surgery business with full accountability for business performance, strategic execution, and P&L management. Direct a cross-functional commercial organization comprising sales and marketing leaders and teams responsible for advancing market leadership and customer partnerships across Singapore's healthcare ecosystem.
Hold regional leadership responsibility for SEA Marketing and Education, providing strategic oversight for Professional and Commercial Education programs across the cluster. Drive alignment of commercial strategy, customer engagement, capability development, and market expansion initiatives to accelerate growth and strengthen J&J's leadership position in Surgery across Southeast Asia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and Deliver Singapore Surgery Business Performance
· Provide overall leadership for the Singapore Surgery business, with full accountability for business performance, strategic execution, market growth, and P&L delivery.
· Develop and execute commercial strategies, sales and marketing plans, and resource allocation to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
· Continuously assess and optimize account, territory, and customer engagement strategies to maximize business opportunities and customer impact.
Build Strategic Customer Partnerships and Market Leadership
· Develop and execute strategic account plans for key healthcare institutions and stakeholders to drive long-term value creation and sustainable growth.
· Leverage deep customer, market, and healthcare ecosystem insights to identify growth opportunities and shape commercial strategies.
· Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with customers, healthcare leaders, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to influence market development and advance J&J's leadership position.
Lead SEA Marketing Strategy and Portfolio Growth
· Define and drive the Southeast Asia Surgery marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with global, regional, and local business priorities.
· Lead portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, new product introductions, and commercialization initiatives across SEA markets to accelerate growth and market penetration.
· Partner with country, regional, and global stakeholders to ensure effective execution of marketing plans, maximize resource leverage, and promote best-practice sharing across markets.
Drive Customer-Centric Innovation and Market Development
· Translate customer, market, category, and key opinion leader insights into actionable strategies that expand market opportunities, strengthen value propositions, and improve competitive positioning.
· Lead engagement with key customers, professional societies, and industry stakeholders through scientific programs, conferences, educational events, and strategic partnerships to advance business objectives.
Lead SEA Professional and Commercial Education Strategy
· Establish and execute the SEA Education strategy to build commercial, clinical, and customer capabilities that support short-term performance and long-term business growth.
· Partner with Commercial, Clinical Development & Education, APAC, and Global teams to develop education initiatives that accelerate adoption of innovative surgical technologies and therapies.
· Expand and strengthen regional centers of excellence, training centers, surgeon development programs, and capability-building platforms across SEA markets.
Accelerate Capability Development and Market Expansion Across SEA
· Identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities through capability development, market creation initiatives, evidence generation, and customer engagement programs.
· Drive educational programs, technology training, roadshows, and professional development activities that support procedure growth, therapy adoption, and sustainable market expansion throughout Southeast Asia.
· Manage regional marketing and education investments to ensure effective resource utilization and delivery of business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
Minimum 12 years of commercial experience including at least 5 years of people management responsibility
Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and industry trends that drive business growth
Experience in the MedTech and healthcare industry, with broad knowledge of key market drivers, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
Expertise in strategic account management, with successful track record in building and managing customer relationships and driving innovative business solutions
Skilled at navigating complex business environments and influencing, collaborating, and partnering across internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes
Ability to effectively advocate for and represent Johnson & Johnson in external forums and industry engagements
Proven track record of delivering strong business results and successfully leading sales and marketing teams
Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent
