The Role
At Fisher & Paykel, we create moments of delight together in the heart of the home. As a Warehouse Lead - Parts, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of spare parts within our Lancaster, TX distribution center.
Supporting the Warehouse Manager, this role drives a continuous improvement approach and a strong health and safety culture, with oversight of the warehouse and distribution operation scorecard to ensure efficient, cost-effective management of goods. You'll assign daily work, and train and develop staff to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient receiving, storage, and shipping operations. Success in this role requires strong operational knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced distribution environment.
You Will
Planning & Leadership
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, driving strategic improvements and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Support the development of warehouse personnel, helping build the critical capabilities needed to deliver F&P's strategy.
Demonstrate a leadership style aligned with the organization's purpose, values, and strategy.
Own adherence to and training on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct regular performance evaluations with the Warehouse Manager and provide feedback to sustain high productivity and morale within the team.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.
Prepare regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipping/receiving performance, and operational metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, proposing and implementing solutions as needed.
Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and execute daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping parts.
Lead quality control measures to ensure accuracy and condition of parts during receiving, storage, and shipping.
Support investigation and resolution of discrepancies or customer complaints related to inventory or shipments.
Ensure the security of stock and assets by monitoring adherence to security procedures and protocols.
Support implementation of inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize storage space utilization.
Drive a results-oriented operation focused on operational KPIs, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Plan resourcing to meet throughput demand and operational KPIs, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
Ensure adherence to 5S standards within the warehouse, conducting audits and inspections to maintain operational and H&S controls.
Oversee warehouse MHE servicing and safety policies, invoice and spend management, and site services including recycling, waste, and utilities.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations relative to your area of the DC.
Health & Safety
Understand and comply with all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) and environmental (HSE) legislation, as well as Fisher & Paykel's Health and Safety Policy Standards and codes of practice; keep abreast of changes in legislation and update procedures accordingly.
Identify and assess potential hazards within the warehouse; ensure hazards, near misses, and incidents are reported, recorded, investigated, and risk-assessed, and implement reasonably practicable controls to prevent recurrence.
Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors receive comprehensive H&S training; conduct regular refresher courses and emergency drills to maintain high safety standards.
Demonstrate visible and proactive leadership in H&S, leading by example and fostering a strong safety culture; conduct regular H&S meetings and actively engage with staff.
Lead thorough investigations into incidents and near misses to identify root causes, develop and implement corrective actions, and share lessons learned across the organization.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with H&S standards, identifying areas for improvement and monitoring the effectiveness of safety measures.
Track and analyze H&S performance metrics; report on safety performance and recommend actions for improvement, ensuring H&S objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded.
Encourage active participation in H&S initiatives from all employees; recognize contributions to workplace safety and facilitate open communication for H&S concerns and suggestions.
You Have
2–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments.
Experience leading, training, or coordinating warehouse teams.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards or Oracle.
Knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes.
Experience working with freight carriers and transportation coordination preferred.
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF technology.
Understanding of OSHA requirements, warehouse safety practices, and material handling equipment.
Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions.

The base salary range for this position is $22.31 - $27.00/hr. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors considered when extending an offer include (but are not limited to) education, experience, relevant skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
