** This role operates within a 24/7 environment and requires employees to work 12-hour shifts across a rotating roster. Shifts may be scheduled on any day of the week, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure continuous operational coverage. Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster is essential.
Security Operations Specialist Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Our Security Operations team plays a critical role in monitoring, responding to and managing security incidents across the Group. From alarm activations and theft incidents through to high-risk events such as armed robbery, our team works around the clock to ensure timely and effective responses to support the safety and security of our people and operations.
Do work that matters
As a Security Operations Specialist, you'll be at the centre of our incident response capability, monitoring security systems, coordinating responses to incidents and providing support to stakeholders across the Group. You'll work closely with internal teams, technology partners and external security providers to maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Responding to a broad range of security incidents, including aggression, theft, suspicious activity and armed robbery events.
• Monitoring and responding to security alarms, CCTV and other security management systems.
• Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the Group, providing timely advice and support during security-related incidents.
• Coordinating with Enterprise Services teams and security suppliers to investigate and resolve security technology issues.
• Escalating security incidents appropriately and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
• Supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Identifying emerging risks and trends and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the Group's security framework.
• Operating in line with CBA's risk management and compliance obligations and adhering to the CBA Code of Conduct.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
• Experience working in security operations, monitoring, emergency response, control room, law enforcement, defence or a related environment.
• Strong incident management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on making informed decisions in time-critical situations.
• Experience working with security systems, alarm management platforms or monitoring technologies.
• An understanding of risk management, incident management and control frameworks.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document and manage incidents.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering better risk outcomes.
