What is the opportunity?
The Manager, AML Risk Analytics is an execution-focused role positioned at the intersection of advanced data analytics and investigative intelligence within our financial crime prevention program. This role requires expertise in both quantitative data analytics and qualitative investigative methodologies to identify, analyze, and support the mitigation of emerging financial crime threats. Working under senior leadership guidance, the position supports enterprise-wide initiatives by delivering high-quality threat analytics assessments bridging risk strategy, transaction monitoring, and investigative operations.
What will you do?
- Conduct hands-on analytical deep-dives on targeted topics, sectors, or threat vectors to generate actionable intelligence for risk mitigation
- Apply advanced investigative analytics techniques (linked party analysis, beneficial ownership structures) to detect complex money laundering schemes, organized criminal networks, and emerging financial crime typologies
- Produce and present threat assessments and intelligence products to stakeholders that inform organizational risk appetite and/or control enhancements
- Apply and execute threat analytics methodologies, ensuring rigor, repeatability, and measurable outcomes while enabling scalable capabilities
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, techniques, and best practices to support organizational knowledge
- Suggest improvements and enhancements to analytical processes and tools based on hands-on experience
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- 3-5 years of relevant experience and expertise in 2 or more financial crimes typologies (TBML, Drug trafficking, Sanction Evasions etc.), in 2 or more business domains (Retail, Wealth, Correspondent banking, Trade finance or Capital Markets) and 3 or more payment channels (Wire, ACH, Cards, E-transfers, Cheques etc.)
- 3-5 years combined experience across investigation and data analytics, with minimum 1 year in each domain
- Strong knowledge in SQL, Python and Excel
- Proven excellent written and oral communication skills to convey complex concepts to a non-technical audience
- Proven problem solving skills
Nice to have
- Bsc
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation or other related certifications
