The Role:
This role can be in Milford or Warren, but the expectation is that the candidate is able to be where they need to be to complete the necessary work. Expected time on site is 4-5 days a week due to interaction with vehicles and benches. A Lead Viewing Application Engineer supports the development, integration, and validation of viewing systems including rear view camera, surround view, transparent trailer, curb view, and others. This position interfaces daily with development teams to evaluate new features in vehicles and on benches and root causes any issues.
What You'll Do:
Work closely with software, algorithmic development teams
Support performance teams in viewing features tuning process
Support integration activities into various ECUs
Perform issue triage and root cause analysis
Serve as a SME within camera calibration and alignment processes
Conduct road & staged data collection – design, build & execution
Analyze and review features to ensure highest quality possible
Your Skills & Abilities (Qualifications):
5+ years' experience working in software development teams
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience with JIRA
Familiar with vehicle based software testing methods
Ability to obtain a MPG driver’s license
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge in viewing domain
7+ years' experience working in software development teams
5 years' experience with algorithmic development, performance tradeoffs,
software parameters etc.
Advanced Degree in Computer Science or related field
