Description

Description

The Patient Access & Partner Success Representative is a hybrid position that combines on-site patient access responsibilities at Richardson Psychiatric Associates with referral development throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Approximately half of the role will focus on supporting patients and daily front-office operations. The remaining time will be spent in the community developing new referral relationships, supporting existing partners, and increasing awareness of PAX Health and the services available through Richardson.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys variety, connects easily with both patients and professionals, and is comfortable moving between an office setting and community-based relationship building.

Patient Access Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors.
  • Support patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, and follow-up coordination.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and collect required demographic, consent, and registration information.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient information within the electronic health record.
  • Coordinate provider schedules and assist with reducing cancellations and missed appointments.
  • Respond to patient questions and help resolve scheduling, insurance, and access-related concerns.
  • Escalate clinical or operational concerns to the appropriate team member when needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, process referrals, and provide general front-office support.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Abide by PAX Health's Code of Ethics and model values.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Partner Success Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new referral opportunities throughout the Western Pennsylvania territory.
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, email, networking, community engagement, and in-person meetings.
  • Represent PAX Health and Richardson Psychiatric Associates to prospective referral partners, healthcare providers, employers, and community organizations.
  • Educate partners about available services, referral processes, and how PAX Health can support their patients or members.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing partners to support ongoing referrals and address service needs.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective and current partners to maintain engagement and strengthen relationships.
  • Research and qualify leads generated through outreach, referrals, events, campaigns, and other sources.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, outreach activity, opportunities, and follow-up steps in the CRM.
  • Work with the Partner Success Manager and Richardson leadership to develop and carry out a territory growth plan.
  • Monitor referral activity, pipeline progress, and patient access trends and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Travel locally and regionally to meet with partners, attend events, and represent the organization in the community.
  • Abide by PAX Health's Code of Ethics and model values.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, patient access, business development, community outreach, or relationship management is preferred.
  • Experience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, referral intake, or front-office workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect professionally with patients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Comfortable conducting outreach, introducing services, and developing new professional relationships.
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing patient access, administrative, and outreach priorities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate patient and partner information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use electronic health record and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
