Job Description Summary
The Aero TM2500 / XPRESS and Aero Model Base Enterprise leader will coordinate all the quality efforts to ensure Xpress Generation 2 is capable to fulfill the customer needs. On of the main responsibilities is to lead the 2026 Aero PDE line of sight with all Design Engineer technical leaders and managers to discuss and agree on programs status, needs and actions to mitigate potential delays. Transform daily management sessions to a strategic action to define and depict the future of the Aero programs execution.The Aero TM2500 / XPRESS and Aero Model Base Enterprise leader must have a solid Aero packaging Product knowledge CAD Expertise ( NX, Solid Work) & Technical process Expertise.
The other function is to support the current manufacturing process for LM2500. Areas such as Aero Electrical to provide the correct design intent such as Cable Tray Assembly Drawings (DWG) to facilitate the construction of the units. Interact with Manufacturing team to assure PDE drawings include multiple views illustrating the distribution and accommodation of packaging system. including instrumentation/control, AC low voltage/DC high voltage, AC 3-phase power up to 600V, and fire/communication systems.
Finally, be the Aero PDE focal for Model Base Enterprise, which enables digital 3D source of truth for Aero deliverable. Interact with Suppliers, shop and CMPD teams to assure MBE. It also needs to be included in the Aero PDE line of sight lead for all the NPI programs.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- The Aero TM2500 / XPRESS and Aero Model Base Enterprise leader will drive and evolve Quality Mindset and PDE issues accountability driving discussions with other team and actions implementation
- Ensure accurate and on time delivery of models and drawings by managing scheduling of deliverables and quality of outputs
- Lead and mentor less experienced engineers on the Team, both domestic and global, in component selection, equipment arrangement and interface coordination with other power plant equipment.
- Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection
- Lead and implement process improvements and development of Design Practices.
- Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Uses judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Engineering degree from an accredited University (BS or MS) in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Min 10 years of relevant work experience in Product definition
- Minimum of 2 years of gas turbine technology experience
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of aero-engine systems, system interactions.
- Good knowledge in project-management principles (planning, control, risk-management) & respective tools
- Familiarity with requirements management principles
- Good interpersonal skills, team worker
- Problem solving skills, and ability to work independently
- Good command of English language
