Riverbend Community Mental Health—a trusted leader in New Hampshire’s behavioral health community—is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and service-driven Payroll Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately, on time, and with the highest level of care and compliance.

What You’ll Do
- Process accurate, on-time payroll and validate all earnings, deductions, and taxes
- Maintain employee payroll records, including hires, changes, and terminations
- Serve as the go-to resource for payroll questions and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws, policies, and reporting requirements
- Reconcile payroll data, support audits/W-2s, and drive process improvements
Requirements
Who You Are:
- A payroll professional with hands-on experience and strong knowledge of payroll systems, processes, and best practices
- Highly detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for precision and a passion for getting things right
- A critical thinker and problem-solver who can analyze issues, identify solutions, and follow through effectively
- Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A strong communicator who delivers excellent customer service and builds trust with employees and leaders
- A professional who demonstrates integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with care
What You’ll Bring
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Two to five (2-5) years of payroll processing with high volume payroll experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- General Accounting and Human Resource experience a plus.
- Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, wage and hour requirements, and payroll best practices.
- Experience with payroll software and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- CPP, UPC,FPC not required, but a plus.
