Job Description Summary
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to perform an array loan servicing activities, for Private Client Residential Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit and Securities Based Lines of Credit. Works closely the department supervisor, and management, to ensure established processing timeframes are met and the department remains fully compliant with all rules/regulations instituted by the firm and various regulatory bodies. Interaction with High Net Worth clients, requiring a high degree of specialized handling, with an attentiveness to client needs, is required. Detailed instructions, procedures, and guidelines are provided to perform a variety of tasks that require evaluation, originality or ingenuity to make decisions. Recommends solutions to problems, with varying level of complexity, to management. Serves as a point of escalation for issues unable to be resolved by Loan Servicers. Extensive contact with both internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify and provide facts and information or identify, research, and resolve problems while providing a world-class client experience.Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains loans in the servicing system according to established procedures.
Processes amendments and modifications to retail loan accounts.
Handles escalations via phone, email, or the contact management system through to resolution.
Executes loan servicing responsibilities related to retail loan maintenance and monitoring.
Mitigate regulatory, credit, operational, and reputational risk to the firm by following established policies and procedures
Performs daily quality assurance reviews of Loan Servicer journal, check, and advance batches
Establishes parallel monitoring processes and controls to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Performs system audits of loan information.
Prepare and send mortgage satisfactions to the counties for recording and mail PIF documents to client
Decision client records against known sanction and enforcement lists for compliance with OFAC, Patriot Act, and AML directives
Ensure compliance with FDPA regulation by actively monitoring for adequate flood insurance coverage
Institute the force placement of hazard and/or flood insurance as needed to mitigate risk from potential loss events
Prepare and review standard legal documents such as subordinations and modifications for accuracy.
Assists with loan collections activity including review of various delinquency reports and correspondence with clients and Financial Advisors, proactively, to solicit past due payments before adverse action occurs,
Assists customers with inquiries, issues or servicing requests.
Reviews assigned loan general ledger accounts to identify and resolve unusual or irregular transactions.
Assists to train others.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of
Fundamental accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
Multi-state retail loan servicing practices.
Skill in
Reviewing and interpreting commercial and retail loan terms and documentation.
Identifying unusual transaction activity, interest accrual discrepancies and regulatory discrepancies.
Preparing spreadsheets and creating formulas.
Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to
Identify and recommend changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.
Identify and recommend solutions to routine loan accounting and loan servicing issues.
Make routine decisions.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment.
Make outbound and receive inbound calls on a recorded Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) telephone line.
