Responsibilities
- Manage and validate software and calibration deliveries in multiple automotive formats, including binary images and flashware containers, ensuring readiness for deployment
- Verify software package integrity through memory map validation, checksum/CRC checks, and hardware/software compatibility assessments
- Perform checksum recalculations and corrections following authorised software modifications, ensuring successful ECU programming and bootloader acceptance
- Program and update ECUs across bench setups, HiL environments, and vehicle platforms using CAN, CAN FD, and Ethernet/DoIP communication protocols
- Execute end-to-end UDS programming activities, including security access, software download, data transfer, validation, and dependency checks
- Support diagnostics over DoIP for next-generation vehicle architectures and IP-based communication platforms

- Support diagnostics over DoIP for next-generation vehicle architectures and IP-based communication platforms
- Investigate software issues, reproduce defects, and provide detailed defect reports supported by traces, logs, and software baselines
- Analyse communication traces and measurement data to identify root causes and support efficient issue resolution
- Improve testing efficiency by automating repetitive flashing and validation activities through scripting and tooling
- Communicate project status, testing progress, risks, and coverage metrics to stakeholders within the project governance framework.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication networks, including CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Solid knowledge of automotive diagnostics, including UDS (ISO 14229) and DoIP (ISO 13400), with familiarity in interpreting and working with ODX diagnostic data.
- Experience working with software binaries, including the use of hex editors, checksum validation tools, binary comparison utilities, and file format conversion tools.
- Good understanding of ECU software architecture, including bootloaders, application software, calibration data, EEPROM memory, and their interaction during flashing activities.
- Practical experience with industry-standard diagnostic, calibration, and engineering tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, ETAS INCA, or similar solutions.
- Experience with: XENTRY/DAS, Vediamo, DTS Monaco
- Familiarity with requirements, test, and defect management tools such as Jira, Polarion, DOORS, or equivalent platforms.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages used for test automation and process optimization
- Experience working with HiL platforms for embedded software validation and testing
