Description
Theseus is a defense company breaking the dependence on GPS in the world. We have customers in every branch of the USDOD, major defense primes, and our product is actively used in combat. We build Cyclops, localization software that replaces GPS. It can use any camera (EO or IR) and runs on a Raspberry Pi 5 or similar level of compute. We fuse satellite data with camera input and onboard sensors to generate a reliable position that can’t be jammed.
This is our second product, built using feedback from our first product which did the same thing but worse. This year, we expect to sell > 10,000 licenses. After two years, we have the best product available on the market, and demand is very high.
We are looking for a robotics software engineer with experience building state estimation, SLAM or VIO for production use cases. You’ll work on visual positioning systems that improve the accuracy, robustness, and reliability of Theseus’ products across sensors, onboard compute, and drone platforms.
What you will work on in your first 90 days:
- Design and improve our localization algorithms to deliver high positioning accuracy in all environments
- Build new features into our algorithms to increase up time and ease of use for end users
- Fix issues from real world deployments and coordinate solutions with forward deployed engineering
- Contribute to architecture decisions across the sensor fusion stack
Who we are looking for:
- New grad or early career
- You are passionate about state estimation and localization
- You have built complex SLAM, EKFs, VIO and/or robotics systems
- Proficient in C++, Python, Linux
