Job Description:
Deputy Project Manager
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will support the Project Manager in planning and executing all assigned design projects and will act on the Project Manager’s behalf in their absence.
What You'll Be Doing:
Identifying clients’ or stakeholders’ project needs and goals.
Creating a detailed plan to successfully complete a project.
Support project manager in managing the project team, including task delegation and work schedule and coordination of work schedules across all design disciplines.
Responsible for maintaining project documentation by organizing documents with the support of project’s Document Controller.
Assist with the reviewing and proofing of project deliverables. Reviewing and helping project manager in approving design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Coordinating with Project Control team in Tracking and reporting project progress.
Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.
Support in managing relationships with clients, statutory authorities, and design consultants, including coordination of authority approval submissions.
Acting on behalf of the Project Manager in their absence, including exercising delegated decision-making authority on project matters.
Coordinate closely with the project manager PM in coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables. Independently coordinating with design manager and discipline leads about the design tasks and deliverables, and reporting project progress.
Overseeing design quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) and technical review of drawings, specifications, and deliverables.
Overseeing administrative functions related to the project, including meetings, invoices, and cost estimates, and supporting the Project Manager on budget, schedule, risk, and contract administration matters.
Tracking and reporting project progress.
Be able to support more than one ongoing project.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university
At least 8 years of project management experience within infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience working under delegated authority and acting on behalf of a Project Manager on infrastructure design projects
Proficiency with project management software and tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
