What You Will Be Doing


The Mitigation Account Executive is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding business opportunities within the property damage mitigation and restoration market. This position focuses on outside business development and building strong relationships with property managers, asset managers, owner/operators, insurance carriers, adjusters, third-party administrators, risk managers, facilities managers, and other key industry partners.


This is a highly relationship-driven sales position and may require the Account Executive to spend more than 50% of their working hours outside of the office. Travel, including overnight travel, may be required based on business needs.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the mitigation and restoration market, including how to work within insurance claims and the identify, pursue, sell, and capture new mitigation opportunities.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, relationship development, and other business development activities.
  • Serve as both a "hunter" and "farmer" by identifying new opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with preferred vendors, MSAs, property managers, asset managers, owner/operators, insurance carriers, adjusters, TPAs, risk managers, facilities managers, building consultants, and other industry partners.
  • Develop, maintain, implement, and revise an individual sales and lead-generation plan.
  • Represent Renu professionally and serve as a primary point of contact for clients and prospects.
  • Promote Renu's mitigation services and generate business opportunities across all appropriate Renu channels.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including estimating and operations, to ensure customer requests and opportunities are addressed effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to negotiate and secure mitigation work.
  • Manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing time and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, opportunities, client interactions, and follow-up through the company's CRM system.
  • Collect and analyze customer and market information to identify trends, evolving customer needs, and potential business opportunities.
  • Attend and assist with assigned Renu-sponsored events, including tradeshows, golf tournaments, social events, luncheons, and other marketing and networking functions.
  • Act as a company representative with a strong focus on customer service, relationship development, and overall customer experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant sales, business development, or marketing experience required.
  • Experience in the mitigation/restoration industry required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the mitigation and restoration market and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Existing relationships and/or an established book of business within the mitigation, restoration, insurance, property management, or related industries preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Xactimate experience required.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States.
  • Position may require more than 50% of working hours to be spent outside of the office and may require overnight travel of approximately 15–20% or more as needed.
