Service Shop Entry Technician - Midway, TN

Position Summary...

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...

Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in accordance with company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified Shop Technician on Walmart equipment, including trailers. Responsibilities include creating and processing work orders; assessing maintenance and repair needs; identifying required parts and potential solutions; selecting the most effective repair approach; and performing maintenance and repairs such as mounting and dismounting tires, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, and completing trailer door repairs. Follows company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements, seeks approval for maintenance and repairs from qualified Shop Technicians, communicates effectively with customers, suppliers, and associates both verbally and in writing, and completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documentation according to established procedures.
Receives fuel deliveries and conducts fuel sampling by monitoring fuel drops to ensure safety and compliance, following procedures for fuel additives, monitoring tank levels before and after deliveries, collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipment, and completing all required documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $25.75 - $29.25* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
