We are looking for a Lead Project Planner to join GE Vernova’s Hydro Power North America division. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to our tendering team, defining the planning approach and schedule strategy for complex, high-risk projects. You will play a pivotal role in project execution by leading cross-functional alignment, driving advanced schedule analysis, and facilitating high-level reviews with leadership. By ensuring robust planning and proactive mitigation of risks, you will support project objectives related to cost, schedule, and performance while ensuring contractual commitments are met.

Job Description

Essencial Responsibilities

• Lead the development of robust, competitive, and realistic tender schedules (levels 1–3) using Primavera P6 to support proposal submission.
• Define the project planning approach, schedule strategy, and governance in alignment with execution strategy, client constraints and competitive expectations.
• Perform rigorous schedule analysis to validate logic, resource leveling, and critical path accuracy, ensuring the proposed schedule is robust.
• Lead identification of schedule risks and opportunities and drive mitigation measures that will ensure project success from day one.
• Act as a key advisor to the tendering team, challenging execution assumptions to shape project priorities and providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaborative planning reviews with the tendering team and key stakeholders to validate schedule assumptions, ensure alignment, and confirm the feasibility of the proposed delivery strategy.
• Ensure planning deliverables support project reviews, management decision-making, and customer communication requirements.
• Oversee schedule quality, planning assumptions, and consistency of planning outputs.
• Capture lessons learned from project execution to refine future tender planning methodologies.
• Mentor Planners and Schedulers and promote planning standards, methods, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Planning and scheduling experience in EPC or similarly complex project environments.
• Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Strong experience in hydropower, energy, infrastructure, or industrial project execution.
• Proven experience in proposal development, including the ability to analyze RFP requirements and contract clauses.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Desired Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMI-SP, PMP, or AACE-PSP.
