In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives by applying core development principles, practices, and procedures to the development of various applications within the group
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and adopting best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, cross-technology teams to communicate ideas and resolve complex technical issues to achieve goals
• Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems 
• Facilitate building out of the Product Development backlog(s) with portfolio stakeholders to support the business and technical Product roadmap; work with Product Owner to prioritize backlog(s)
• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled applications using React, TypeScript, Python, and modern API frameworks. 
• Build and maintain Python backend services, APIs, MCP services, and integration layers using frameworks such as MCP, FastAPI & Flask. 
• Design, implement, and integrate with MCP servers and MCP clients that enable secure context sharing between models, tools, applications, and agent runtimes. 
• Develop and support agentic workflows that execute complex, multi-step tasks using frameworks such as LangChain Deep Agents, Google ADK, or similar agent frameworks. 
• Build skill-based and modular agents that decompose capabilities into reusable, composable, and versioned skills. 
• Build reusable components, services, tool schemas, and integration patterns that can be shared across enterprise AI applications. 
• Integrate logging, tracing, and observability frameworks, including Arize & Splunk compatible logging and agent observability tooling. 
• Ensure applications and services are ready for deployment on enterprise container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes. 
• Collaborate with AI developers, platform engineers, product teams, and architecture partners to deliver robust and scalable AI solutions. 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of experience with a modern development language. (.NET, Python, React, Java, etc.) with emphasis on the Microsoft development tools and environments
• 4+ years of experience with relational databases

Desired Qualifications:

• 3+ years working with cloud, container, or hybrid platforms, including Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• 1+ year of experience with AI/ML concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering
• 1+ years of experience with Co-pilot and/or Devin
• Knowledge of observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and tracing
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as:
  Github, Harness, Artifactory, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Black Duck, Splunk
• 3+ years of experience with API design and development (RESTful and GraphQL)
• 2+ years of experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of event streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis
• Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise GenAI platforms and AI-driven products.
• Strong expertise in Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, Knowledge Graphs, and long-term memory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI.
• Strong proficiency in Python with experience building services using frameworks such as Fast MCP, FastAPI & Flask. 
• Experience developing and integrating with REST APIs, asynchronous services, and event-driven architectures. 
• Experience establishing AI observability, monitoring, evaluation, resiliency, and reliability practices.
• Knowledge of AI security, responsible AI, governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with automated testing with Playwright, performance testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices. 

Job Expectations:

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $119,000.00 - $224,000.00
