Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Commercial Electricians for projects located in or around Barrington, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls in commercial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Install and bend EMT, Rigid, PVC, and Flexible conduit up to 2"
- Install cable trays, electrical wire, and electrical devices
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using testing equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Install and terminate motors, transformers, panels, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, and control systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule
- Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures as needed
- Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Experience installing and bending conduit up to 2"
- Experience installing and terminating motors, transformers, panels, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, and control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of NEC and OSHA requirements
- Experience operating aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
- Must be safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
