Model Developer Model Developer Bank Wide Market and Operational Risk Economic Capital Team
The team
Economic Capital ensures ING holds sufficient funds to withstand extreme adverse market scenarios. The Economic Capital Squad within the Model Developer Bank Wide Market and Operational Risk Economic Capital team is responsible for the development of mathematical models to calculate the required Economic Capital for Market Risk, Operational Risk and Business Risk. Next to this, the squad implements these models on MApps, the ING Private Cloud, for locations to use. Finally, the Economic Capital Squad interacts with stakeholders to further improve and explain the workings of the models.

As a model developer, you will be working on the development of mathematical risk models. In this particular role your main focus will be on Operational Risk and customer behavioural models.

Therefore, we are looking for a team member to work on the development of interactive tooling in the MApps environment to disclose information and provide insights into the Economic Capital calculations for users.
This means that, in addition to a quantitative background, we are looking for a candidate with experience in working with local entities and other stakeholders, such as the Model Owner, to translate user requirements into interactive dashboards, as well as the skills to implement them in a web-based environment.
In order to succeed the following requirements are a must:
A quantitative master education
Proven Experience as model developer or model owner with Operational Risk
Proven Experience as a model developer or model owner with customer behavioural models
Proven experience with stakeholder/location management
Experience with creating reporting or dashboards for users
Experience with object-oriented software development in large-scale systems, beyond standalone (Python) scripts
Experience with RUST and parallel computing
Proven experience of implementing reports into a web-based environment
Additional professional qualifications in the financial risk field such as CFA and/or FRM
Knowledge of SQL and databases
The following points are considered a plus:
Experience with working with information in the ARA environment
Understanding of QRM processes and related impact analyses
Experience with project management
