The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Act as one of the key relationship and escalation point people in accounting matters on allocated client portfolio, managing expectations and delivering high levels of client service;
- Lead a team responsible for the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private equity funds;
- Review more BAU quarterly and semi-annual management and statutory accounts (including but not limited to NAV and NAV per share calculations, capital calls and distributions, waterfall calculations);
- Manage the audit process, maintenance of audit files and communication/liaison with auditors for portfolio clients;
- Liaise and act as the day to day contact with the fund managers and other external parties on portfolio of clients;
- Attend board meetings and present financial information;
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants, including setting objectives and their periodic appraisals.
Skills & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of private equity fund accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience managing complex fund structures and client relationships.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience liaising with auditors and managing audit engagements.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
